Our history

Founded by Rosolino Alaimo in 1979 and a family enterprise to this day, Erocarb SA, since its first step, has been specialized in extrusion equipment. For the first seven years, Erocarb SA has provided the cable industry with its extrusion tooling. Pushed by the growing demand from the cable manufacturers, the company produces its first crosshead in 1986.

Since then, Erocarb SA has emerged as a first address for high precision material for the wire, cable, and plastic industries. The company’s products excel for their longevity and cost-efficiency, and comply with the highest expectations associated with Swiss quality at the same time.

More than 40 years after its start from small beginnings, Erocarb SA presents itself as a high-performance enterprise with a total of 23 employees.

Thanks to the excellent reputation the company enjoys all around the world, Erocarb SA is proud to include among its customers the most renowned names in the cable and wire industry.

In-house Manufacturing

EROCARB guarantees the traceability of its production by machining its parts in its own workshops. Manufacturing documents are rigorously archived, ensuring precise tracking of parts throughout their life cycle.

Quality

To ensure the reliability of its products, EROCARB relies heavily on the skills of each employee. Compliance with internal standards, similar to ISO9000, guarantees the quality of every component of an extrusion head.

EROCARB has several CNC lathes of different sizes to ensure in-house production of the majority of our products. The machines are regularly renewed to maintain excellent manufacturing quality and benefit from the latest production technologies.

The EROCARB workshop has several CNC milling machines with 4 to 5 simultaneous axes. They are equipped with modern, high-performance tools for machining all types of materials, including particularly tough nickel alloys.

Part precision is a key factor in crosshead machining. Most parts are therefore grinded to obtain an optimum finish. Whether flat, cylindrical or conical, EROCARB has the right machine for the job.

Each part is carefully assembled in our workshop. A final quality check is also carried out before each delivery.

For many years now, EROCARB has been equipped with EDM machines enabling it to machine the most difficult and precise shapes, or to work parts even after heat or surface treatment.

EROCARB’s staff are always happy to answer all your questions, whether by telephone, e-mail, fax or during your visits.

Our engineers use state-of-the-art, high-performance tools. Their daily work includes 3D design and the production of technical drawings. The technical office is also dedicated to routine tasks such as numerical simulation and high-precision measurements.

EROCARB retains all manufacturing drawings. This ensures that parts are tracked throughout their life cycle. It’s not unusual to pick up a drawing that’s decades old.
